As the final hours wind down towards the delivery of Xbox One’s to excited gamers all over the world it will be a mad rush of unboxing to get the console out and setup so they can jump right into using the next generation console.

The 1.24GB patch could take a while to download directly on your console especially considering the millions of others who will be connecting to the Xbox Live Network to do the same exact thing.
So Microsoft has an alternative for you – download the patch now while you wait for your new Xbox One and then install it via USB instead of downloading it on the console itself.
