HTC USA took to Twitter last evening to shed a little bit of light on the Android 4.4 KitKat update as it pertains to the HTC One. According to a tweet, all North American models should see the update by the end of January. It’s not explicitly outlined when each particular carrier’s version will pick up KitKat but it’s reassuring news, nonetheless.
Verizon’s HTC One, for its part, is waiting on a 4.3 update, however that should not affect the 4.4 update in the following weeks.

The Google Play Edition of the HTC One to Google should see its own update in the next few days or weeks; HTC has delivered the build to Google last week and is now waiting for deployment.
Good news, we’ve delivered KitKat code to Google for HTC One GPE. Timing of push via PlayStore to be determined by Google. — HTC USA (@HTCUSA) November 15, 2013
